Emilie Prouveur was a daughter of Louis Victor Prouveur (1810 - 1887 ?) carpenter - carpenter, 119 rue de Paris in Saint Denis, and Suzanne Bonnemain
(1813-1881?), a family of Saint-Denis, where a wine merchant is found (Joseph-Nicolas Caterer, 115 rue de Paris).
They were quite native to Saint Denis (cf. the plan of Saint Denis, 1704, preserved in Vierville). Yves knew Emilie's nephew well: Georges Prouveur (1876 - 1945), a colossus of 1m 95, and his wife Martha (Provener's Tante) died without children in Paris on 2 January 1976.
The Prouveur were usually large and corpulent: Emilie was at least 1m 80, the photos still represent her sitting, or the other characters are on the bars of a ladder.
She was a famous midwife. In particular, she had given birth discreetly to a Romanian (princesse, says tradition) whose daughter she kept for 10 years from 1906 to 1916. The father, in thanksgiving, had given him jewels and especially a hat pin, Hélène Cordelle, her beautiful daughter, carried the "moonstone" mounted in a ring (this ring belonged to Claude). Married at 30 years old to Saint Denis, with Arsene Cordelle, Emilie Prouveur only had one child: Louis Cyrille Cordelle- I'm Yves' grandfather.
She died in Paris on 10 March 1920, at the time of the engagement of her grandson Jean Cordelle. Her tomb is in Saint Denis with the other Prouveur, her son Louis Cordelle and his little daughter Germaine Cordelle.
