A memory gathered.
A shared legacy.
The work of Yves Cordelle
This site gathers the archives of the Cordelle and Rougier families: photographs, letters, narratives, genealogies and documents of the period. Yves Cordelle gathered these archives and wrote the history of his family in 1988–1989. Together with Claude Rougier, he also recounted that of Claude's family.
These stories were then digitized, completed and updated, following an idea by Christophe Cordelle. The original site created by Yves in 2003 allowed the transmission of them.
Three entrance doors
- The Cordelle family before 1954, its origins, its ascendants and its years in Argentina.
- The Rougier family before 1954, Claude's family branches and youth.
- Yves and Claude after 1954, their common life, new generations and memories added afterwards, including images of the 2010s.
Read the archives with their uncertainties
These pages are family memory stories. The authors themselves report omissions, errors and uncertainties. A date, identification or legend may be approximate. The testimonies and quotations must be read in their historical context.
The original texts and legends are preserved. The recasting improves their presentation, navigation and access on the phone. Editorial information and new paths do not erase the reservations expressed in the documents.
The continuation of this transmission
Yves left us. His grandson Yohann Cordelle continues to transmit this family heritage through the redesign of the site, hosted by the Oz workshop.
