During their stay in Bizerte, the Hausermanns saw their last two children born.
- Simone (maman) is born in Bizerte on 1 August I898. Certificate of Weighing of the parish priest of Bizerte dated 13 January 1899 and the official baptism took place in Nacqueville (near Cherbourg) on 26 August 1905. It is therefore probable that the Hausermanns returned to France in 1905, and during a stay at the castle of Nacqueville (which belonged to the Hersent), they had the baptism confirmed by the parish priest of Nacqueville.
- Jean Hausermann ("Toutouni") is born in Bizerte 17 May 1903

Some local press information on the work of the Hersent Sidi Abdallah and Bizerte's arsenal.
The Tunisian Newspaper, November 5, 1898. Regional Chronicle, Bizerte, November 1. Visit of public works and railways personalities; they were shown the military arsenal of Sidi-Abdallah. "In Sidi-Abdallah, Mr. Hausermann, the engineer director of the works, showed them the work sites."
La Fortnight Coloniale, 25 April 1901, p. 238: "The work of the port of Bizerte. The execution of the lower platform of the new piers of the before-port, constituted by natural blocks provided by the quarry of Ain-Meriem, was pushed with activity despite the bad weather of this winter, by Mr. Hausermann, engineer, representative of Messrs. H. Hersent and sons, entrepreneurs. In a few days, the installation of the large artificial blocks of five to six thousand tons, which must constitute the body of new jetties will begin."

Eugène Hausermann was entrusted with the work of Dakar from mid-1904 until mid-1905, before being sent to Rosario in Argentina.
