Suzannette Cordelle, my father's sister, Jean Cordelle, married on 2 February 1921 Paris, with Gabriel Dessus, a fellow promoter of the X of Jean, engineer of Maritime Engineering. He was a very brilliant, very fine, extremely intelligent man able to see far into the future.
The following is a simple list of two postcards where his vivacity of mind appears, and two long letters written to my parents in Argentina in 1936 (during the Popular Front strike) and in 1938 (when the war threatened) and in which his vision was extraordinary.
Suzannette didn't have a child and she died in 1930 a few months after I was born, the tuberculosis that had been killing her forever (her twin sister died at 2 years of age). 1904, and his father was 39 years old 1912). It was my godmother, so I didn't know, I know that this choice was made to give her hope of living, despite her illness. It was not until the late 1950s that the antibiotic was discovered to cure without problems this highly contagious disease which ravaged families for generations.Gabriel Dessus then remarried Colette, the widow of Monsieur Le Mée, and mother of Nicole Le Mée, born in 1921 and future wife of my brother François (marriage in 1944). Gabriel and Colette had 3 children (Aline, Pascale and Benjamin) and many grandchildren.
