Letter from Christophe (in stay at Abingdon school) to his parents
Abingdon School, the 7/6/73
..I've been in Abingdon for 5 days, and I've been doing a lot since I got here. I'm going to list you the schedule of a day: rising, 8h minus 25 (theoretically)-"Breakfast" 8h – 8h1/2-Starting classes or church Mass (which elsewhere is not taking place for me and a classmate, because we are Catholics) 9h until 11h 1⁄4 (average) – from 11h1/2 until the sport lunch, to the choice: swimming pool, cricket, OK, football, ruddby, etc. – Lunch and then resuming classes and exit at 3h1/2: sport, relaxation, race in town, croque party (what I do almost every day with a boyfriend or two) etc....4h1/2 or later the "tea" - 6h: dinner rather light, then you have to think about the "preps" to be served – 7h1/2 recreated from 10 minutes and evening tea with toast, then work or play in the permanence room until 9h (about)- 9h to 10h, read, relax, hear music, make your letters, etc.
10am bedtime (theoretic) because in my dorm of 7, we only start sleeping at 11am – that's my schedule.
I go to the pool every day (it's so beautiful, a "lead sun").

Every Wednesday afternoon we didn't get class, and last Wednesday there was a great athletics competition (high and long, running, 400m, 100m, and 1500m, launching of javelin, weight and...

The week in the mountains has brought us sun and snow. Our boys ski a lot, Renaud himself is tireless. The resort has remained a real friendly village. We are settled in a farm. All of us kiss you very affectionately.
