Sunday, 30 July 1956
Dear Dad, dear Mom.
Our little hike to Switzerland begins today and we left Frédéric without regret in the good hands of the family in Dampierre. We went through Domrémy where we saw the place where Jeanne spent her childhood and snuck up at the Pass de Bussang, a little in the clouds. Now we are here tonight in Baden at qq km from Zurich. Do you have any beautiful sun in Normandy? I have a good memory of the 15 days spent in St. Laurent and I thank you again for this great family reunion, all the more pleasant as we are all geographically so far away from each other. We are all well. Frédéric is completely healed, provided it lasts!
