Below, the letter written by Toutouni (Jean Hausermann) at the beginning of 42, referring to the illness of Jean-Paul (typhoid) and the move to Buenos Aires.
But before, against a portrait of Jean Hausermann made on February 12, 1941 at a great photographer in Buenos Aires, dedicated to Nany, but who could not reach him until his death in Vierville on February 17, 1941.

Jean Hausermann in Rosario, in Jean Cordelle, in the Hersent du Blanc office, in the free zone

Rosario, February 20, 1942,

My dear Jean,

I'm only getting your letter from November 24th. (1941, it took 3 months, it was not preserved), with that of François of January 24 (1942, written since the Polytechnic School in Lyon, in free zone). We've been without news for a long time and were happy to know François out of business. Well worried about Jean-Paul, who brought his typhoid fever from Rosario, since the fever started 3 days after our arrival. While he was still transportable, I took him by ambulance to Montevideo, in a clinic where he was well treated, and for 1 month we had been living bad moments; as I said yesterday to François to whom I was replying, JP will go into convalescence next week and we can consider ourselves happy if there is no complications. The little one is more than a wire and has grown up yet. When he can make the car trip to Riachuelo I would leave mine all March in this pretty corner that will make them recover; moreover it is very hot and the cities are a furnace.

I'm glad you touched the transference. (??), because the telegrams I sent you from Montevideo came back to me with the mention "unknown". Your business is in order, I will keep a record of it when I have some time, because you think that the work is accumulating here during my absences and the little damp heat you know is not exactly exciting. I am bored by the health of Cherryer that I made intern with a nasty affair to the kidneys in perspective: probably the removal of the left kidney; I take care of him personally because his wife is collapsed and...

I will send Mr Matuszek the answer to the request contained in your letter of 13 November, with the statement I am talking about.

Apart from this, this country is extraordinarily free from the current global contingencies and does not realize its happiness: we are still doing electoral policy. The concession of the Port is coming to an end and we will soon be out (The Port of Rosario Company, a subsidiary of Hersent, was a concessionaire for the operation of the port of Rosario for some 40 years, it comes to its legal end and the Argentinians will not renew it, so the Hersent will no longer have reason to remain in Rosario) . I'm preparing the neighborhoods of PUMA (PUMA ARGENTINA, the construction company) PUand MA(Hersent, Argentina), in Buenos Aires, where I thought I was in March, but the illness of the little one delayed my plans. The construction site of Rio Santiago is very much in the way and I have good hope for the 2000 tons of iron coming from North America. We are fortunately doing an urgent job for the National Defence;
All right, but you'll find us very different, as far as I'm concerned, I'm bald and bubbling. In this regard we will shave John Paul, who is not entirely agreed.
We gather to kiss you all affectionately,

Jean
