"Paris, October 31, 1911
Dear Mr. Hausermann,
We authorize you to collect as last year an amount of 100,000 francs to be charged on your Rosario settlement. If you wish us to place this sum here, you will only have to give us your information on the values to buy.
I hope you're doing better now and please remind me of Mrs Hausermann's memory.
Your devoted good
G.Hersent
Second letter: Daddy's response, who thanked and spoke about his health and his upcoming return to France, with the long-term leave planned (it will last 6 months from 1 April to 1 October 1912) before the resumption of work at the headquarters of the Hersents, at 60 rue de London in Paris: "30 November 1911
Dear Mr. Hersent in Paris
I acknowledge receipt of your note of October 31, in which you kindly authorized me to levy 100,000F on my settlement in Rosario. I am very grateful and thank you.
I want to cash this money here but because I have to pay in the course of December a substantial amount on my purchase of Christopl land....(chuckles)
In Rosario the work of the first contract is coming to an end....(40 lines not transcribed) In these circumstances, I intend to return to France at the beginning of March, and as soon as I return, I would like to take a long rest I need, as well as my entire family, after 14 years of warm countries. I had to keep the room all week, with a little severe but painful liver congestion.
................. (19 lines not transcribed) This letter will arrive a few days before the new year, so I wish you and your families the best of health and happiness on behalf of all your staff.(ilviable) assurance of our respectful and loving dedication..."
