"Cala d'Or 19 August 65. Dear friends, I suppose you spent the summer surrounded by your children. As for us, faithful to the Balearic Islands, we enjoy our annual ration of sun and heat. Jean Delpech draws a lot and so do I. The whole family addresses you to all his most affectionate memories of happy holidays. R.Collard"

My dear Simone, my dear Jean -
We have a nose (I don't miss it) to go south at the time of this repeated glacial offensive: you too, since you will leave a South American spring to find another French. I hope that this word will find you all and yours in good health but I simmered in thinking about those of the exiled family "in Algiers". It must not be nice at the moment. We are, Martha and I, delighted with these Fortune Islands, which I, for my part, have enjoyed only half because of the many "thinks of holidays" carried away for my various publishers. Good news from our children who stayed in Paris, but they were very cold. Here, apart from some repercussions of these cold waves, the climate is springtime. We intend to return to Paris within 3 weeks. (Channel F. Weill) who is looking forward to having direct news from the Argentines
(Custinals). Awesome memories of both of us.
