Adeline Weill,
"Tantine"
Born in 1852, † in 1944 at 92 years
Sister of Eugénie Weill, and aunt of my grandmother
455
Adèle Claudine (called Adeline) Weill was born on October 9, 1852 in Paris, 11th Arrdt., daughter of Charles Weill and Augustine Hénos. His birth certificate, "reestablished" in 1873, was like all the Parisian acts destroyed by the riots of the Paris Commune in 1871.

"Tantine", before her marriage to Amédée Collard, had been engaged to a man who had caused scandal because he had a mistress. The project was cancelled and Tantine married Amédée Collard, 18 years older than she, (1834 - 1909), officer of the naval artillery, in garrison at Cherbourg in 1874.

Amédée Collard, originally a engraver, had spent 7 years in military service as a result of the 1870-71 war. He then remained in the army. Adeline and Amédée were in Cherbourg at the time (1874) where their sister-in-law Eugenie Weill-George decided to leave Alsace permanently and settle near them in Cherbourg.

They had two children:
Martha Collard (page 4551), wife Pichorel

Robert Collard (page 4552) 1884 - 1973, who had 2 children, Claudine CHALLIER and Micheline DELPECH.

Amédée died 18 February 1909 at his home, 122 rue d'Assas, at 75

Adeline died March 15, 1944, Paris, at his home, 11 rue Chardon-Lagache, 92 years old
My grandmother Nany often spoke of Tantine and her children in the letters to her son Jean Hausermann (page 545 And then, they were preserved. Tantine loved music and played piano very well.
