The CGBA
General Railway Company of the Province of Buenos Aires
3763 From June 1907 to early 1910, Louis CORDELLE was the chief operating officer of the CGBA, one of the two French companies (with the Santa Fé CF) railway dealers in Argentina. Most were British and all were ruthless competitors.
The CGBA had a metric line from BA to Rosario, which is in the process of being put into service.
Louis seems to have had difficulties there, in a hostile environment, with violent and permanent quarrels. His mildness and calmness did not facilitate his relations, and it is understood that he remained only a short time in this society. He will consider a time to leave the CGBA and stay in Argentina, but finally he will return to France.
There remained a manual of handwritten personal notes where these diculties are mentioned.
